Dawn Hall becomes president and CEO; company retains HUBZone certification, supplier network, and e-commerce capabilities
Sacramento, Calif., October 1, 2015 – AttainIt is now an economically-disadvantaged, woman-owned small business; small disadvantaged business; and certified historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) firm. Company founder, retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Colonel Karl Ross, retires from business and Dawn Hall, AttainIt vice president, assumes the position of president and chief executive officer.
“This is an exciting time for our company and customers,” said Hall. “Our growth will be led by women and driven by our ability to offer competitive prices on thousands of high-quality products and services. We have the same great supplier network and commitment to customer service. However, as a woman-owned small business, we can help our customers attain additional supplier diversity goals while providing our unique added value.”
AttainIt still holds its Small Business Administration (SBA) certification as a HUBZone firm and is pursuing third-party certification as a woman business enterprise. The company maintains its best-in-class e-commerce system, and the customer experience remains the same for ordering and fulfillment.
“The transition will be seamless for our customers,” Hall said. “It’s the same great staff in the same location providing the same excellent service – only our supplier diversity categories change. The timing was intentional with the end of the federal government fiscal year and implementation of the woman-owned small business sole source authority available to federal agencies. We’re positioning ourselves to take the company to the next level.”
AttainIt has also welcomed Maggie Bullard-Marshall as its new vice president of government affairs. Bullard-Marshall has worked in federal procurement for six years, has a decade of health care communication experience, and eight years in the insurance and financial services arena.
AttainIt provides high-quality products and services to federal, state, and local government agencies and federal prime contractors. The company is an economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business (EDWOSB), and a certified HUBZone firm that can fulfill the requirements of government small business spending directives and supplier diversity programs using various contract vehicles. Its suppliers include Agilent Technologies, Chef Minute Meals, Inc., Cole Parmer, Fisher Scientific, FLIR Systems, Garratt Callahan, Grainger, Polaris, GRIFOLS, Snap-on and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
