AttainIt: The Real Deal

Not all small businesses are alike… any more than all corporations or all government agencies are alike.  There are good ones and bad, novice and experienced, and even”big” small business and “small” small businesses.  Finding the right one with the contracting knowledge, buying power, and distributor relationships is vital when you are seeking a small business partner.

AttainIt has achieved great success as a small business since its humble beginnings in 2001 selling business calculators to State of California agencies. After the first year, AttainIt had just 4 employees and was operating out of a small one room office and with around $380,000 in sales.

We’ve seen a steady climb in both volume and size of transactions since we first opened our doors. During the first full year of sales AttainIt achieved $380,004 in gross revenue. In 2009 AttainIt had our first $10M year. We have been on the rise ever since. We grew to over $26M in 2016 and are slated to achieve $30M in gross revenue in 2017.  In 2016 AttainIt averaged just over 500 orders per month, so far YTD we are averaging almost 600 orders a month.

Today AttainIt employs 21 people at locations in Texas and California and are expecting to reach $30M in gross sales across all 50  states in 2017. The journey has been one of steady and considered execution. Building a strategic supplier network, establishing exemplary credit worthiness and delivering outstanding service to a growing and diversified customer base.

Dawn Hall joins AttainIt in 2009 and became AttainIt’s majority owner, president and chairwoman of the board of directors on October 1, 2015.  Her commitment to on-the-job training and employee empowerment stems from her own experiences in entry-level positions that afforded her the opportunity to learn and develop. Hall is currently working with Women’s Empowerment to provide a paid internship for graduates of the program to gain experience and earn money.  AttainIt works with the interns and if possible provides permanent employment after the 8-week internship program is over or works with employment agencies to find the right opportunity for the graduates.  Hall is very proud of this relationship with Women’s Empowerment and looks forward to being able to help in more areas.  AttainIt remains committed to customer service excellence and providing employment opportunities to underserved communities, especially HUBZone communities.

AttainIt provides high-quality products and services to government agencies, prime contractors and large corporations.
