Award recognizes company growth, outstanding leadership and community impact
Sacramento, Calif., October 30, 2015 – The HUBZone Council has named AttainIt President and CEO Dawn Hall “2015 HUBZone Owner of the Year.” The Council is a national, nonprofit trade association providing information and support for companies and professionals interested in the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) contracting program. The award recognizes the owner of a HUBZone-certified company who has demonstrated success in corporate management, improving the lives of his/her employees and community, and promoting the values and spirit of the HUBZone program.
“I am honored to receive this award,” Hall said, “and proud of our employees, the quality service we provide our customers, and the difference we are making in this community. We have a wonderful group of hardworking team members that pull together to support one another and our customers.”
AttainIt has been a certified HUBZone firm since 2005 and has grown steadily since Hall assumed a leadership role with the company in 2009. In bestowing this award, the HUBZone Council noted that under Hall’s leadership, AttainIt provides extensive on-the-job training, offers entry-level salaries well above minimum wage, and gives employees access to company-funded health care benefits. The Council also noted Hall takes an active role advocating for her employees’ well-being.

“The HUBZone program creates opportunities for people and communities to grow,” Hall said. “I have benefitted greatly from the program, as have our employees. It has been extremely gratifying to recruit, train, and promote such a talented and dedicated workforce.”

In addition, the company recently became a woman business enterprise (WBE), an economically-disadvantaged, woman-owned small business (EDWOSB), and small disadvantaged business.
